Back when Jean von Baden was a young teenager in the nineties, he started out as a go-go dancer for some of the most prominent clubs like Privelege (Ibiza), Space (Ibiza), Techno Club (Cologne), Puscha/Trade and X-Ray (Copenhagen).
He later developed into one of Copenhagen’s hottest DJ’s, playing alongside Grace Jones, Mathew Johnson, Soulclap, Trentemøller, Boy George, Martinez (Moon Harbour/Cadenza), André Galuzzi (Cocoon/Panorama Bar), Jamie XX, Robosonic (RAW 2013), DJ T, Orbital, Tiger & Woods, &ME, Swedish House Mafia, Marc Almond, Arthur Baker, Justin Martin, Nick Höppner, Secret Sundaze, Nima Gorjii, Felix da Housecat, Larry T, David Guetta, Shir Kan, Tim Sweeney (NYC), Rad Rice, Chriss Bones, Sammy Jo (Scissor Sisters), Niconé (Bar 25, Berlin), Damon Martin, Geddes, Roger Sanchez, Armand van Helden, The Revenge, Tocadisco, DJ Premier, Kjeld Tolstrup (R.I.P), Alexander Robotnik, Lulu Rouge, Baba Black, Guy Williams, Danny Howels, Queens Of Noize, Tomboy, WhoMadeWho, Rollerboys, DJ Noise, DJ Static, Thomas Knak, Kim Kemi, Lasse Lovelace, Al Lindrum and many many more.
As part of his DJ era, Jean was involved in the development of new clubbing concepts. In 1999 he won “Nightclub Of The Year” for a party called Fruit & Spy. He also hosted Pacha Ibiza VIP in 1999 all season, was the co-owner of NASA Club (Copenhagen) from 2006-2008. Later he headed the Copenhagen Jazzhouse from 2009 to 2011. The latter won “Best Party” in 2010. Jean has won “Nightclub Of The Year” 3 times. Apart from nightclubs, Jean has also been involved in creating and DJ’ing at huge events like Roskilde Festival, Green Beats, Copenhagen Electronic Carneval, Sensation White (VIP zone), Distortion, Love In The Street, London Calling with Orbital at Privilege Ibiza and the RAW event in Copenhagen from 2005 to 2012. In 2014 he enjoys his recidencies at Culture Box and Skt. Gertruds Kloster, an ancient monastery in the heart of Copenhagen, which Jean helped conceptualise.

Jean has always been a part of both the deep underground & the celebrity and jetset parties, DJ’ing at the baptism afterparty for the first child of the crown prince of Denmark, Michael Phelps Speedo Gold Party at the Beijing Olympics, Mick Jagger at the opening party of the club “Laekker” and the list goes on and on with Ethan Hawke, Lykke May Anderson, Lars Ulrich, Jean Marc Barr, Axl Rose, P. Diddy, Pharrel Williams, Kelis, Nelly Furtado, Snoop, Timbaland, Justin Timberlake, Rihanna, Lady Gaga, Gnarls Barkley, Tone Loc, Amanda Lepore, Helena Christensen, Grace Jones, Ronaldo, Mariah Carey, Diego Maradona, Prince Albert of Monaco.

Petri & many more. Creates sound design for a wast amount of companies and Michelin restaurants such as Kokkeriet Copenhagen.
Jean recently graduated as student of psychotherapy with focus on anxiety, cocaine & alcohol addictions & Music therapy.
Jean is working on a book about going from light substance life to great substance in life. Coming Christmas.

Since 2012, Jean has found his new passion as a composer, producer, remixer and artist in his own right. Together with Mashti he now releases music under the duo Jean von Baden & Mashti. Their debut album “Ethnology” is released during springtime 2014 along with a remix collecion of their selected works for other artists. 2014 is also the year, when Jean and Mashti debut as producers of the fantastic girl duo Blackout Babies with a music direction very different from their own sound… an more exciting surprises on the way.
